16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign to challenge violence against women and girls. The campaign runs every year from 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December, Human Rights Day. It was initiated in 1991 by the first Women's Global Leadership Institute, held by the Center for Women's Global Leadership (CWGL) at Rutgers University.

Currently, more than 3,700 organizations from approximately 164 countries participate in the campaign annually.
Together with Kisumu County Gender Technical Working group, Nyarwek Network was able to successfully launch the 16Days of Gender Activism on 24th November 2017 at Sport Ground Kisumu.
Followed by a radio interview on how to end gender based violence against LBQ women, forms of gender based violence, creating of safe spaces in Kisumu County,challenges LBQ women face while reporting violations to the authorities and many more.
